Bare tree of winter

The winter is the season when trees lose their green coat. This is one of the trees in our backyard which were bearing few dry branches with hard blocks of ice during winter. I was fascinated by this scene of blanketted snow on our lawn and drooping branches of the trees. I wanted to give color to this idea by way of sketching and painting.

Beach view

We happened to visit Hawaii during our vacation. This was the most wonderful & memorable vacation for me. We could visit a couple of Islands like honolulu, Mawii and Big Islands. Hololulu is with beautiful beach. The turcoish ,shimmering water, swimmers surfing, docking boats, vacationers enjoyment was a real scene. After my return, I wanted to give a life to my thoughts by way of sketching and coloring this wonderful scene. So this is the picture.

This is an oil painting of Lord Shiva with her consort Parvathi and son Ganesha in Mount Kailasa. The inspiration for me to paint this picture is from the mythological reference of the book Kailasa & Manasa.

A glimpse of Winter

This is my first venture in oil painting. During my first winter in US, I got lot of greeting cards from friends. One of them fascinated me very much which resulted in sketching this winter scene. The bear trees with firy tinge of brown color is eye catching. The snow covered ground looks as though it is covered with white blanket. I suppose, this painting catches one's view.

The winter time for me is do lighting my house, decorate christmas tree. My Santa is the main feature of christmas decoration. He has brightly lit torch in his hand which keeps swirling. Hope everyone who view this pic likes it.
