Painting of Shivana samudram
I happened to visit my hometown during the month of June of 1999. All my family members planned a day of picnic at Shivana Samudram which is close to Mysore in Karnataka. The river Kaveri branches into Gagana chukki and Bara chukki, which gushes down as water falls. It was glorious sight to see the roaring falls which captured my vision to take the photograph. After my return, I brought brush and palette into action which is an outcome of this picture.

Winter snow scene; Horse coach ride
This painting is about a typical winter snow scene. I live on the east coast of North America which has beautiful greenery. We often bet greeting cards from our family and friends who are on either coast. One of the cards was about beautiful snow which inspired myself and my young girl, Veda to bring our hands and brush into full action. We both sketched the picture. Veda tried to experiment a little bit with water color and pastels. We sketched the small bushes and plants at the back drop of the cottages and barn. Veda imagined herself in the Horse coach with me and drew the horse coach. It is a scene with a whole front yard covered with lot of snow, The little boys shoveling and dragging the Christmas tree. Myself and Veda feel this picture would certainly inspire the viewers to visualize the winter scene and fill their thoughts with colors.

Harvest season in the rural village
This picture is about rural area which I visited once while I was in my hometown. We, who are nurtured in city are only aware of the hassles of city life. It is always nice to visit the rural village which us a raw and totally new feeling about nature. It was harvest season during the months of December and January the paddy fields which was in full swing of hues and green ready for harvesting. It was a very beautiful scene to watch the village flocks harvesting the crop. After my return, I pictured in my mind the raw beauty of the fields with the morning glory of the sun over the sheaths.
